Van Arsdale Science Fair & Crazy Catapult Contest!

“Science launches us to new heights”

It’s time to pick those projects for the Van Arsdale Science Fair! The fair is open to every student, kindergarten through 6th grade, at Van Arsdale and will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Setup for the fair will be before school on March 17th so classes can tour during the school day on Friday. Students in grades 4th, 5th, and 6th can choose to do a regular project and/or compete in our catapult competition. The information about the catapult project is below.

Between 9:00a.m. and 11:30a.m. on March 18th, we will test the catapults and parents and guests will have a chance to view all the projects. A special prize will be given to every participant.

Project registration must be submitted by February 18, 2017, using the form below. If you’d rather complete a paper form, print a registration form and return to school. Catapult entries use the same project registration form.

If you have any questions please contact Lana Hearne at or Lila Schow at

Can’t wait to see all the wonderful projects!
